Job Context:
∎ This position will work on an inclusive education project which is implemented through the technical support to schools, learning centers and to other services providers. The objective is to increase the access to education for all the children, especially children with disabilities. The intervention will reinforce the educational environment supporting children with a personalized approach.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Data collection about inclusion needs in educational programs: conduct assessment on the barriers faced by children with disabilities in accessing education; identification of disability; identification of referral needs.
∎ Organize, arrange, and conduct trainings and awareness-raising regarding inclusion including the physical, attitudinal, communication and institutional barriers preventing boys, and girls with disabilities and other at-risk groups from participating meaningfully in educational activities.
∎ Prepare work plans and periodic program reports.
∎ Support the school management staffs in preparing inclusive education plans.
∎ Build the capacities of the school teachers to build inclusive lessons and curricula.
∎ Provide on-the-job support to the teachers on inclusive teachers' techniques
∎ Support the schools' teachers in conducting assessment of the students with special needs, in preparing and following-up Individual Education plans for children with disabilities
∎ Support the schools in establishing education corners for children with special needs
∎ Train, support and coaching the community volunteers who will play a central role in the children's support
∎ Assure the support, the coordination, the quality of work and reporting of the community volunteers
∎ Report to the line-manager the activities in schools, in families, in the communities
∎ Assure the identification and referral of children with disabilities in camp and host communities
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience implementing educational programs
∎ Know Braille and or sign language would be an advantage
∎ Experience in conducting on-the-job capacity building support to the teachers
∎ Experience of working with INGO/NGO is an asset
∎ Good planning skills
∎ Good oral and written communication skills in Bengali (English is an asset)
∎ Computing skills (MS office package- both in English and Bangla) desired
∎ Knowledge of working with people with disability is an asset
