Educational Requirements:
∎ Degree in humanitarian/development work or in the social field (anthropology, psychosocial, sociology, protection...). A background in Physiotherapy/Occupational therapy would be a real asset .
∎ You have technical experience in ensuring humanitarian or development projects include persons with disabilities equally, in different sectors and ideally experience in other cross cutting themes, such as gender or protection mainstreaming
∎ Skills Required: Project Management

Job Context:
∎ The Technical Advisor Inclusion is responsible to ensure the technical quality of mainstreaming and promoting inclusion of men, women, boys and girls with disabilities of various ages, within HI`s humanitarian action projects and in partnership with other actors within their humanitarian response, especially in the consortium-led project. This will include mainstreaming technical support in various sectors, including WASH, health, protection, shelter, education among others.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contributing to the overall planning for HI's mission and lead the design and implementation of strategy and interventions on disability, age and gender inclusive services in close link with other relevant technical expertise and sectors of intervention based on identified opportunities, needs and interests.
∎ Providing regular guidance on disability mainstreaming specific to strategies, programming and service provision, support and skills development to HI staff, consortium partners, humanitarian actors and to promote a coherent and evidence based approach.
∎ Ensuring a coherent and adapted approach for service providers and the wider humanitarian body where appropriate, promoting disability, age and gender inclusion within emergency and development action in Cox Bazaar. Alongside ensuring the transfer of skills, tools, good practices inside the HI interventions.
∎ Helping to define strategies, processes and action between emergency preparedness, acute emergency response and early recovery and reconstruction phases to facilitate transition and complementarity of action efforts and priorities for disability, age and gender inclusive services.
∎ Providing skills development, guidance and support the development of the project teams and inclusion officers.
∎ Developing tools and resources in line with global and national frameworks, guidelines to ensure that services are inclusive of men, women, boys and girls with disabilities, including older people, supporting the widespread roll-out of tools and guidelines both internally (HI mission) and externally.
∎ Responsibility : Strategy Development
∎ From the identified needs, support the definition of the inclusion strategy together with the technical unit Coordinator and other technical advisors, and ensuring the respect and implementation of actions to ensure disability inclusive strategies, responses and data systems
∎ Identifying, analyzing and reporting against contextual protection risk and factors of discrimination to promote qualitative and inclusive humanitarian services.
∎ Providing support to the development of processes and tools to facilitate transition and complementarity between emergency preparedness, response, reconstruction and development programs for disability inclusion
∎ Participating in continuous needs assessments for new projects to be developed/adaptation of the existing projects
∎ Contribute to the overall strategic planning for HI's mission and participate in strategic workshops and exercises
∎ Responsibility :Technical Support
∎ Providing technical guidance and support to promote the design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of inclusive services and strategies.
∎ Provide support and guidance to HI teams, partners and affected communities to ensure disability, age and gender inclusive strategies, responses and data systems, by guiding the approach amongst HI projects ,consortium and partners where appropriate
∎ Deepen planned assessments, data systems and monitoring tools to better understand the needs of people with disabilities and other groups at risk of exclusion, and the barriers and facilitators for access together with people with disabilities.
∎ In collaboration with the operations teams provide support to the definition and formalization of project methodologies, work-plan and monitoring to promote inclusive services.
∎ Contribute to the advocacy for disability, age and gender inclusive humanitarian actions through systematic collection of field-experiences and good practice, case studies, fact sheets and qualitative and quantitative data collection.
∎ Support the definition and implementation of a quality management & monitoring system for inclusive services in collaboration with the MEAL team, based on global principles, frameworks and standards on inclusive humanitarian action and HI policies and guidance.
∎ Develop methodology/ tools to conduct participatory needs assessments, monitoring and evaluation and barriers and facilitators assessments affected communities and produce relevant advocacy sensitization messages and strategies based on findings
∎ Lead the production of contextualized and specific awareness, training and coaching materials to promote and facilitate provision of disability, age and gender inclusive services.
∎ Provide practical technical training, coaching and monitoring to HI inclusion staffs, and other actors where relevant, and evaluate the final outcome of the bilateral support.
∎ Support the provision of information/awareness on disability rights and key inclusion principles to reinforce disability inclusive actions, policies and positive attitudes among the humanitarian community and affected communities
∎ Support the dissemination of information, communication and education materials among HI programme teams, consortium members, target communities and the wider humanitarian community as relevant
∎ Responsibility 3: COORDINATION AND REPRESENTATION
∎ Promote, advocate and build capacity for an inclusive humanitarian response within coordination meetings, working groups and towards partners (Government meetings, clusters, working group (ADTF)). .
∎ Ensuring coordination and coherence of interventions promoting disability inclusive strategies, responses and data systems amongst local and international actors, avoiding duplication and promoting complementary action.
∎ Collaborate and coordinate with the other technical, operational and support departments of HI's mission, according to the needs;
∎ Participate in the Technical Unit coordination meetings and workshops.
∎ Responsibility 4: Reporting
∎ Provide input to mission reporting needs where relevant.
∎ Ensure regular reporting on your activities to your line manager upon his/her solicitation (field visit reports, coordination meeting, workshop, meeting minutes, etc.)
∎ Collect, analyze and report any relevant information related to the protection and inclusion of people with disabilities and other groups facing discrimination.
∎ Ensure the formalization and evidence-based learning of all activities/ learning experiences and good practices including but not limited to strategy, approach, partnerships, reporting on assessments/training/workshop documents.
∎ Adapt existing good practice collection methods and ensure good practice and added value of HI mainstreaming activities is captured, documented and disseminated
∎ You regularly have contact and share activities with HI team
∎ Ensure compliance with HI policies, guidelines and standards on Inclusion across Building Peaceful Future project staff and Consortium partners

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ You have 2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector; experience in protection response, and in project management experience would be an asset
∎ You have experience in designing and providing capacity development (training, coaching, learning, etc.)- You possess pedagogical and methodological skills
∎ You are fluent in English (oral and written)
∎ Experience in the region is an asset.You have excellent communication skills and a commitment to team work
∎ You have the ability to solve problem and have a goal-orientated approach to work.
∎ You are humble, flexible and hold a coaching posture
