∎ Age 28 to 40 years
∎ Bachelor or Masters Degree in any discipline.
∎ A professional with very good interpersonal skills, results-oriented, flexible, organized and systematic, attention to details, team player but also the ability to work independently.
∎ Good command of English and Bangla is required. Speaking of Chittagonian language is an advantage.
∎ Good computer skill is an additional qualification.
∎ Willing to travel in remote areas.
∎ Commitment to working with Humanitarian Organization.
∎ Previous work experience in refugee camps.
∎ Previous work experience in emergency settings.
Responsibilities & Context:

∎ Responsible to: Project Coordinator
∎ Job Location: Bhasan Char Island, Noakhali
∎ Carry out regular field visits to project sites to monitor the overall hygienic environment and cleanliness of sanitation services; take necessary measures for reflection with support from beneficiaries.
∎ Plan and ensure the distribution of hygiene kits and promote the effective use of all distributed hygiene items.
∎ Extensively support field staff in delivering effective community awareness programs.
∎ Conduct regular hygiene awareness sessions for the FDMN beneficiaries.
∎ Contribute to data collection and processing of WASH information and use such information for reference.
∎ Validate the relevance of hygiene awareness messages considering cultural sensitivity and the adaptable capacity of beneficiaries.
∎ Support the conduct of research/surveys on the effectiveness and appropriateness of interventions within the project area.
∎ Communicate with local stakeholders to find efficient and effective solutions to hygiene-related problems on the ground.
∎ Build sustainable relationships with the community to create a sense of trust and respect.
∎ Submit weekly reports to the supervisor for compilation as and when required.
∎ Provide mentorship to community leaders and beneficiaries and facilitate cleaning campaigns with support from GUSS and the wider community.
∎ Develop plans of action to ensure the timely and successful implementation of hygiene activities.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
