HYDRAULIC SPECIALIST

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul hydraulic systems used in shipyard operations.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ship lifts, transfer systems, marine cranes, lifting equipment, winches, workshop machinery, and mobile hydraulic equipment.

• Diagnose hydraulic faults using technical drawings, schematics, and diagnostic instruments.

• Install, commission, and upgrade hydraulic equipment and systems.

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

• Inspect hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders, actuators, hoses, and piping.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare technical reports.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of practical experience as a Hydraulic Specialist.

• Previous experience in Shipyard, Marine, Offshore, Heavy Industrial, or Port Maintenance is mandatory.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, marine cranes, ship lifts, lifting equipment, and winches.

• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.

• Expertise in troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical systems.

• Experience in repairing hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and actuators.

• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Familiarity with diesel and gasoline engine maintenance is an advantage.

• Good computer literacy.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
