Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC / Chiller Technician with a proven track record of at least 5 years of hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting centralized HVAC systems, focusing specifically on Air-Cooled Chillers. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of the chiller plant, minimizing downtime and maintaining the comfort and operational standards of our facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Routine Operations & Inspection:

·        Conduct daily operational checks on Air-Cooled Chillers, chilled water pumps, Air Handling Units (AHUs), and Fan Coil Units (FCUs).

·        Record hourly/daily operational parameters (Oil pressure, suction/discharge pressure, water temperatures, and voltage/current readings) accurately in the plant log sheet.

·        Identify abnormalities, unusual noises, leaks, or vibrations in compressors and condenser fans, and report them immediately to the supervisor.

2. Preventive Maintenance (PM):

·        Execute regular preventive maintenance tasks as per the scheduled checklist (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly).

·        Perform thorough cleaning of condenser coils, wash air filters, and service AHU/FCU strainers and valves.

·        Assist in specialized maintenance tasks such as compressor oil replacement, filter-drier replacement, and belt adjustments.

3. Troubleshooting & Corrective Repairs:

·        Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in Air-Cooled Chillers, including controls, thermostats, contactors, and relays.

·        Detect refrigerant leaks, perform pressure testing, vacuuming, and precisely top up or charge refrigerant gases (Gas Charging).

·        Replace faulty parts such as condenser fan motors, expansion valves, sensors, and pressure switches.

4. Safety & Compliance:

·        Adhere strictly to the company’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.

·        Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during chemical cleaning, handling gases, and working with electrical circuits.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free plant room and workshop environment.
