Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation and control systems.

• Perform maintenance and calibration of pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other process instruments.

• Troubleshoot transmitters, control valves, sensors, switches, gauges, and instrument control loops.

• Read and interpret P&ID drawings, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation equipment.

• Perform instrument calibration using standard testing and calibration equipment.

• Check and maintain pneumatic and electronic control systems.

• Assist in commissioning, testing, and loop checking of new instruments and control systems.

• Identify instrument faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.

• Maintain calibration records, maintenance reports, and technical documentation.

• Follow all plant safety procedures and ensure work is completed according to company standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma / Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or relevant field.

• Relevant experience as an Instrument Technician, preferably in a steel plant or heavy industrial environment.

• Good knowledge of industrial process instrumentation and control systems.

• Experience with calibration and troubleshooting of field instruments.

• Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument drawings.

• Good knowledge of industrial safety procedures.

• Strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skill
