Job Context

HC Group Co., Ltd. is looking for an experienced and technically skilled Factory Electrical Technician to join the Engineering & Maintenance Team. The position will be responsible for the overall electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and reliable operation of factory electrical systems, production machinery, utility equipment, control systems and basic industrial automation.

The role will also support breakdown management, preventive maintenance, electrical safety, equipment improvement and supervision of junior electrical technicians to ensure safe and uninterrupted factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

- Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot and repair the factory's electrical systems, production machinery and electrical equipment.

- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in *motors, contactors, relays, overloads, sensors, switches, breakers, control circuits, control panels, MCCs, VFDs and other electrical components*.

- Troubleshoot electrical problems in automated production lines and machinery using electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and testing instruments.

- Identify the root causes of recurring electrical faults and implement appropriate corrective actions.

- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and minimize production downtime.

Production Machinery & Automation

- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems of production machinery and industrial equipment.

- Perform basic troubleshooting of *PLC, HMI, VFD, sensors, actuators and industrial control systems*.

- Assist engineers in PLC-related fault diagnosis, machine modification, programming support and automation improvement.

- Check machine control circuits, interlocks, emergency stops, sensors and safety devices.

- Support installation, commissioning, modification and relocation of new or existing production machinery.

Factory Electrical Distribution & Utility Systems

- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot *MCCs, DBs, control panels, transformers, generators, substations, electrical distribution systems and related equipment*.

- Monitor electrical equipment and identify abnormal conditions such as overheating, abnormal noise, voltage/current fluctuations and insulation problems.

- Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of factory electrical distribution systems.

- Support electrical power distribution, load management and equipment reliability activities.

- Assist with generator operation, electrical changeover systems and emergency power arrangements.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

- Develop and perform preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment and production machinery.

- Conduct routine inspection, testing, cleaning, tightening, calibration and replacement of electrical components.

- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, inspection checklists and equipment history.

- Maintain adequate stock of critical electrical spare parts and recommend replacement of damaged or obsolete components.

- Analyze breakdown trends and recommend measures to reduce recurring failures and machine downtime.

Installation & Project Support

- Install and connect electrical cables, conduits, control panels, motors, switches, sensors and other electrical equipment.

- Perform cable termination, panel wiring, equipment connections and electrical testing.

- Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, control circuit diagrams and equipment manuals.

- Support electrical installation and commissioning of new machinery, production lines and factory expansion projects.

- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, suppliers and maintenance teams during electrical installation and commissioning work.

Safety & Compliance

- Follow electrical safety procedures, *LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)*, PPE requirements and factory safety policies.

- Ensure electrical maintenance work is carried out safely and according to applicable standards and procedures.

- Inspect electrical installations for unsafe conditions and immediately report potential hazards.

- Ensure proper earthing/grounding and safe operation of electrical equipment.

- Support electrical safety inspections, emergency response, and corrective actions.

Team Supervision & Coordination

- Guide and supervise junior electrical technicians and maintenance workers during daily maintenance and breakdown activities.

- Allocate maintenance tasks and monitor the quality and timely completion of electrical work.

- Train junior technicians on electrical troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and safety procedures.

- Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, Engineering, Utility and other departments to resolve equipment-related problems.

- Report major electrical faults, maintenance requirements, spare-part needs and equipment conditions to the supervisor/Engineering Manager.

Other Responsibilities

- Maintain electrical tools, testing instruments, spare parts and maintenance areas properly.

- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities and equipment conditions.

- Support energy-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to improve electrical system efficiency.

- Assist in emergency breakdowns and other critical maintenance activities when required.

- Perform any other electrical maintenance and engineering-related duties assigned by management.
