Educational Requirements:
∎ M.B.B.S degree from recognized medical college with BMDC registration number and minimum 1 years of experience post-internship.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Regular responsibilities:
∎ Make sure that all medical records are properly kept and maintained.
∎ Carry out immediate evaluation and management of emergency patients that are brought in for treatment.
∎ Work simultaneously with government staff, partner staff and colleagues from the emergency department.
∎ Respond to all forms of cardiac/cardiopulmonary arrest with immediate effect.
∎ Perform interpretation of electrocardiogram and make arrangement for back up from Emergency Medical Service (EMS).
∎ Provide instructions for discharge and complete necessary paper work for patients.
∎ Review all medical (laboratory and x-ray) reports concerning patients.
∎ The emergency room physician must have excellent communication skills especially active listening skills.
∎ Clinical Care:
∎ Willing to work in COVID19 Emergency Department.
∎ Take history, perform examinations, order investigations and prescribe treatment.
∎ Provide direct clinical care, working closely with clinical staff, midwives and non-clinical staff and with the other health facilities, to ensure the delivery of high-quality comprehensive emergency and primary healthcare services.
∎ Manage Medical, Pediatric, Neonates and Obstetric emergencies ensuring appropriate referral as needed.
∎ Provide clinical support to the teams and clinicians. Monitors prescriptions and conducts audits to ensure legitimacy and clinically justified based on WHO/MoH/CPI protocols.
∎ Provide written handover at bedside.
∎ Ensure all patient consultations and treatments are appropriately recorded & signed.
∎ Oversee the provision of quality care within the ensuring consultations and treatments are in line with relevant clinical protocols, guidelines and standard methodologies.
∎ Provide health and hygiene promotion to patients and caregivers.
∎ Ensure that IMCI protocols are implemented and followed by all staff (MA, Nurses, Midwives, vaccinators).
∎ Ensure appropriate infection prevention and control measures are in place at the Emergency Department and monitor staff adherence.
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.
∎ Staff Supervision & Development:
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with GH-CPI team members, ICRC team members, Government Hospital team members and all other stakeholders; promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
∎ Provide medical support and/or mentorship to other clinical staff.
∎ Attain all the training organized by ICRC for professional development.
∎ Monitoring & Reporting:
∎ Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed as per ICRC and Hospital protocols.
∎ Maintaining hospital and ICRC registers and other data collection tools, ensuring accurate and timely recording of information.
∎ Provide weekly updates to GH-CPI senior management team (SCIT).
∎ Other Duties:
∎ Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to respective/appropriate management liaising with Sadar Hospital, ICRC, GH & CPI and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security.
∎ Any other tasks as assigned by the Management following the agreement.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ He/she must be proactive in nature.
∎ Must be ready at all times to handle any given emergency situation.
∎ Must have good time management abilities.
∎ He/she must possess excellent hand-eye coordination.
∎ Must have the ability to think and act critically at all times.
∎ Must show understanding and support to patients in emergency situations.
∎ Must have good organizational skills.
∎ Must possess good interpersonal skills.
∎ Possess good decision-making ability even under pressure.
∎ Must have interest in emergency medicine.
∎ Must be willing to learn from Emergency Medicine experts, hands on training.
∎ Ability to stay calm even in the most chaotic of scenarios.
∎ Prior emergency experience is preferred but not required.
∎ Ability to manage critically ill patients.
∎ Excellent knowledge of antibiotic stewardship.
∎ Experience working in Emergency Department/ ICU/ITU desirable.
∎ Well defined knowledge of Infection prevention & control desirable.
∎ Good command over English, Chittagongian & Bangla desirable.
∎ Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
∎ Exposure to working with local partners and providing/attending training in NGOs.
∎ Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
∎ Experience working in a multicultural, low-resource setting.
∎ Ability to establish priorities in a time sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality.

Salary: Tk. 100000 - 110000 (Monthly)
