Job Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. About three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services, especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community-focused and people-centered approach has been adopted by ESDO, while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 Upazilas under 51 districts of Bangladesh, covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ As partnership with UNICEF & WFP, ESDO will implement the Integrated Nutrition Interventions for Malnutrition Treatment and Prevention Project at Rohingya Camp`s Cox`s Bazar district. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The HR Officer will have overall responsibility for ensuring high quality HR support and guidance to Concern employees of the project and ESDO HR Department on a variety of HR issues. Key priorities will include recruitment and on boarding, management of personnel files and promotion of the organization’s values and policy commitments amongst all employees.
∎ Liaises with:
∎ The HR Officer will work closely with the HR, Logistics and Finance Department in Project and with rest of the Departments.
∎ Main duties & responsibilities:
∎ Coordinating with Head Office HR department to prepare and implement a comprehensive Human Resources recruitment plan to support delivery of organization’s and project strategic plan.
∎ Facilitating recruitment process i.e. advertisement, applications screening, coordinate interviews and complete selection process according to the organizational recruitment policy in coordination with head office HR department.
∎ Ensure systematic, professional and complete documentation process is maintained for each recruitment to clearly demonstrate basis for all decisions made.
∎ Ensuring all successful and unsuccessful candidates are communicated in a professional and timely manner.
∎ Ensuring personal file for all employees are updated and maintained regularly.
∎ Ensure all employees and volunteers understand ESDO’s Code of Conduct and associated policies.
∎ Ensuring that new staff receive and sign a contract in a timely manner and all documents relating to new staff joining are forwarded to relevant places.
∎ Ensuring all kinds of staff transitions are completed and documented in a timely manner.
∎ Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of all staff data and records.
∎ Ensuring effective filing system is maintained for all HR documents, providing information to managers and other staff as required
∎ Ensuring all staff are provided with ID card, RRRC ID card and replacing ID cards when necessary in a timely manner.
∎ Monitor contract status, probation periods and end of contract for all employees.
∎ Ensuring regular HR reports are generated and shared with the relevant people.
∎ Ensuring all HR forms are regularly updated and easily available and proactively provided to all project staff for use.
∎ Orienting staff on policy and procedure .
∎ Supporting Head Office HR in areas such as staff performance assessment, staff orientation, development and training, managing employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary etc.
∎ Supporting Finance Department by providing staff members bank account and staff attendance, leave record related information in timely manner so that the salary disbursement is done smoothly
∎ Ensure that the organisation’s values and policy commitments, including accountability, equality and safeguarding, are reflected in assigned responsibilities and contribute to positive internal and external working relationships.
∎ Ensuring equality of opportunity and absence of discrimination through the promotion of diversity and equality in all HR activities, systems and procedures.
∎ Be aware of, understand and comply with all of ESDO’s policies and procedures.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Executive Director or the line manager.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 5 years progressively responsible work experience in the both areas of HRM and HRD
∎ Experience of working for international and development oriented organisations.
∎ Experience of sourcing and attracting candidates and understanding of competency-based recruitment.
∎ Understanding of current best practices in HRM.
∎ Have good knowledge on Rohingya refugee programmes
∎ Demonstrate ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines
∎ Fluency in English, both written and verbal as well as Bangla.
∎ Proficient knowledge of standard computer software if possible.
∎ Pro- active with an ability to think analytically
∎ Strong ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
∎ Should have cordial relationship with partners, staff members and co-workers.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Results oriented
∎ Excellent planning and organisational skills and time management skills
∎ Ability to problem solving and good decision-making skills
∎ Strong team player
∎ Ability to work in challenging environments.

Salary: Tk. 85000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ According to the project allocation
