About the Hospital

Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital is a leading tertiary-level teaching hospital in Bangladesh, committed to excellence in patient care, medical education, and research. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced healthcare leader to join our senior management team as Hospital Director (Medical Services).

 

Position Overview

The Hospital Director (Medical Services) will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and clinical governance to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centered healthcare services across the hospital.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Administrative Leadership

  • Provide leadership in planning, organizing, and managing all medical and clinical services.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Align hospital services with national healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements.

  • Support hospital expansion, service development, and strategic initiatives.

Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure patient safety, clinical quality, and service excellence.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical departments.

  • Lead quality improvement and accreditation programs.

  • Oversee infection control, patient safety, and clinical audit activities.

Operations & Resource Management

  • Supervise department heads and clinical teams.

  • Optimize utilization of medical equipment, facilities, and manpower.

  • Monitor hospital performance, budgeting, and cost control.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between medical, nursing, and administrative departments.

Human Resource & Training

  • Support recruitment, credentialing, and performance evaluation of medical staff.

  • Promote continuous professional development and training.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, ethics, and patient-centered care.

Stakeholder & Public Relations

  • Represent the hospital in professional, regulatory, and public forums.

  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and healthcare partners.

Educational Qualification

  • MBBS from a recognized medical college.

  • Postgraduate qualification (FCPS / MD / MS / MPH / MHA / MBA in Healthcare) is highly preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 12–15 years of clinical and hospital management experience.

  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a reputed hospital.

  • Experience in a teaching hospital will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and strategic planning capability.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of hospital operations, quality standards, and healthcare regulations.

  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large-scale operations.
