Responsibilities & Context Job Context: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Veterinary Doctor to oversee the health management of a dairy farm. The selected candidate will be responsible for disease prevention and treatment, implementing biosecurity measures, managing vaccination programs, and improving the overall productivity of the farm. Job Responsibilities: *Monitor and assess the health status of dairy animals on a regular basis. *Diagnose, treat, and implement preventive measures for diseases affecting dairy livestock. *Plan and implement vaccination, medication, and deworming programs. *Develop, implement, and maintain effective biosecurity protocols to minimize disease outbreaks. *Provide technical guidance on animal nutrition, breeding, animal welfare, and overall farm management. *Assist with and perform animal calving (parturition) when required. *Conduct post-mortem examinations and investigate the causes of disease outbreaks and animal mortality. *Prescribe appropriate medications and supervise treatment procedures. *Coordinate with farm supervisors to ensure effective animal health and production management. *Maintain accurate records of animal health, treatment reports, and medicine inventory. *Ensure compliance with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all applicable government regulations. *Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
