Job Context:

• We are looking for a dynamic individual capable of independently managing a factory VAT department.

• Responsible for overseeing and ensuring full compliance with VAT regulations at the Barishal Plant.

• Must manage VAT processes and reporting through SAP ERP and e-VAT software.

• Lead the VAT team, handle audits, and communicate regularly with VAT authorities.

• Coordinate with Accounts, Procurement, and Commercial departments to ensure accurate VAT treatment.

• Requires strong leadership, in-depth VAT knowledge, and hands-on experience in audit, appeal, and tribunal matters.

Job Responsibilities:

• The job location will be at the Barishal factory.

• Calculate monthly VAT liability and post entries in the software

• Reconcile data between ERP and EVAT software.

• Prepare and reconcile VAT returns

• Prepare and submit VDS and TDS statements

• Prepare and deposit VAT, VDS, and TDS treasury challans

• Issue VDS and TDS certificates to relevant parties

• Lead the plant VAT team and handle factory-related VAT issues

• Partial experience in dealing with the Divisional office and the Commissionaire office

• Deal with Appeal / Tribunal

• Experience in VAT software (NBR)

• Inventory management

• Maintain regular communication and handle queries from the VAT authority

• Ensure proper deduction of TDS and VDS from all supplier invoices

• Assist internal departments on tax and VAT-related matters

• Ensure accurate implementation of VAT and Tax calculations in SAP

• Prepare and submit all required documents for VAT audits

• Handle VAT audits, appeals, and tribunal cases

• Ensure practical application of relevant VAT rules (e.g., 9.1, 4.3, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.6, etc.)

• Maintain liaison and communication with VAT offices

• Perform any other tasks assigned by management
