Truvalu is a Netherlands-based impact-investment company engaged in developing small growing businesses through equity investment, business development services (“BDS”), and other relevant business advisory services in several emerging economies in Asia, East Africa, and South America. JOB CONTEXT

Truvalu is looking for motivated and impact-driven investment professionals to join its Bangladesh team. These roles offer the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle, including deal origination, screening, due diligence, financial analysis, transaction structuring and execution, portfolio management, value creation, and exits across both equity and debt investments.

In addition to investment activities, successful candidates will support advisory engagements aimed at strengthening SMEs, improving investment readiness, and facilitating access to finance. The roles require close collaboration with entrepreneurs, investors, development finance institutions (DFIs), donors, financial institutions, legal advisors, consultants, and cross-functional teams across Truvalu to deliver sustainable development and commercial impact.

The ideal candidates will combine strong analytical and financial skills with sound commercial judgment, effective stakeholder management, and a passion for supporting inclusive private sector development in emerging markets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and source high-potential investment opportunities aligned with Truvalu’s strategy and impact objectives.

  • Lead in-depth market, sector, and company research to assess strategic fit, market potential, and competitive landscape.

  • Build and analyze detailed financial models to assess investment feasibility, credit quality, and potential returns.

  • Lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence efforts, including financial, legal, operational, and ESG reviews.

  • Prepare high-quality investment proposals, presentations, and internal memos for Investment Committee decision-making.

  • Lead transaction structuring, negotiations, and execution of investment and financing agreements.

  • Monitor financial, operational, and impact performance of portfolio companies through regular reporting, site visits, and ongoing engagement.

  • Work closely with investee companies to develop and implement value creation strategies in areas such as governance, finance, strategy, and compliance.

  • Plan and execute successful exit strategies through coordination with management, investors, and potential buyers.

  • Contribute to planning and delivery of advisory and consultancy assignments that promote SME capacity building and investment readiness.

  • Engage and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, co-investors, DFIs, donors, banks, legal advisors, and internal teams.

  • Represent Truvalu in meetings, forums, and public events to build visibility, partnerships, and investment pipeline opportunities.
