The Granada Academy is a residential secondary school located in Manikganj, managed by the Centre for Zakat Management (CZM) and Shanta Holdings. The Academy currently operates both Bangla Version and English Version streams under the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) for Grades 6–10 and will introduce Grades 11 in the current academic year. The school plans to transition to the Cambridge curriculum in the future. The Academy aims to become a centre of academic excellence in Quranic education and Islamic values, while delivering education aligned with 21st-century skills, ethical leadership, real-life competencies, and job-market readiness.
Job Context:
The Head of Operations is the chief administrative and operational leader of The Granada Academy. The position is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality non-academic operations of the residential school, enabling the academic leadership to deliver excellence in teaching and learning.
The position oversees administration, finance, HR, accounts, hostel management, kitchen services, facilities, discipline, safety, communication, and outreach, ensuring that all operational systems effectively support the school’s academic mission and values.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Administrative and Operational Management
Lead and manage all day-to-day non-academic operations of the school.
Ensure smooth functioning of administration, office management, logistics, and campus coordination.
Establish and enforce operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
Finance, Accounts, and Budget Management
Prepare and manage operational budgets in coordination with finance teams and management.
Monitor expenditure, ensure cost control, and maintain financial discipline.
Ensure timely financial reporting, documentation, and compliance with audit requirements.
Human Resources and Staff Management (Non Academic)
Oversee recruitment, deployment, supervision, and performance management of non-academic staff.
Manage attendance, duty rosters, leave, and disciplinary processes.
Promote a professional, ethical, and service-oriented work culture among operational staff.
Hostel, Kitchen, and Residential Services
Ensure effective management of:
- Student hostels and residential facilities
- Kitchen and food services
- Housekeeping and sanitation
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, nutrition, safety, and student welfare.
- Coordinate with academic leadership on residential routines that support learning and discipline.
Security, Facilities, Grounds, and Asset Management
Oversee overall security of the school campus and ensure safety and security of students and staff
Oversee maintenance of buildings, utilities, grounds, and physical assets.
Ensure timely repair, preventive maintenance, and asset tracking.
Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and contractors.
Student Discipline, Safety, and Welfare
Implement discipline systems aligned with school policies and Islamic values.
Ensure campus safety, security arrangements, and safeguarding measures.
Develop and enforce emergency preparedness, risk management, and safety protocols.
Outreach, and Coordination
Manage operational communication with vendors, service providers, and local stakeholders.
Support admissions, events, examinations, and school functions from an operational perspective.
Coordinate closely with the Principal to ensure operational readiness for academic activities.
Systems, Compliance, and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, organisational, and donor requirements.
Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and compliance records.
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
6 Months’ Probation Period, and based on performance, the job will be regular.
