• At least 14 years of extensive experience in HR & Administration where minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing, steel, cement, heavy industry, or factory environment.
• Positive attitude is extensively required for this position.
• Strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge on BLA-2006.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Well conversant with computer literacy.
• Ability to work effectively in factory environment.

1. Strategic Fleet & Operational Management:

· Direct and optimize the daily operations of a fleet consisting of 400+ commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.

· Develop and execute long-term logistics strategies aligned with the group’s overarching business goals.

· Maximize Asset Utilization by minimizing vehicle idle time and planning optimal routing schedules.

· Oversee multi-location garage, workshop, and yard operations to ensure smooth inbound and outbound movements.

2. Maintenance & Workshop Optimization:

· Implement rigorous Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to reduce vehicle breakdowns and operational disruptions.

· Supervise the internal workshop, team of mechanics, and technicians to minimize Vehicle Downtime.

· Manage inventory control for high-value spare parts, tires, and lubricants, ensuring cost-effectiveness and preventing pilferage.

3. Cost Control & Budgeting:

· Formulate and manage the annual operational and capital expenditure (OPEX & CAPEX) budgets for the logistics division.

· Establish strict monitoring mechanisms (via GPS, fuel sensors, and telemetry) to control fuel consumption and eliminate fuel theft.

· Analyze logistics KPIs (e.g., Cost per KM, Cost per Ton, Maintenance Cost per Vehicle) and present actionable insights to top management.

4. Team Leadership & Driver Management:

· Manage a massive workforce including a large driver pool, helpers, supervisors, mechanics, and administrative staff.

· Design and implement performance-based incentive structures and safety training programs for drivers to improve retention and discipline.

· Foster a culture of safety, ensuring strict adherence to speed limits, load capacities, and highway regulations.

5. Legal, Compliance & Liaison:

· Oversee and ensure timely renewals of all vehicle documents (BRTA fitness, tax tokens, route permits, and comprehensive insurance).

· Maintain strong liaison and network with external stakeholders including the Highway Police, BRTA, Transport Unions, Port Authorities, and Customs.

· Act as the lead crisis manager in handling highway accidents, vehicle seizures, strikes, or unexpected transit emergencies.

6. Technology Integration:

· Drive the adoption of modern Fleet Management Software (FMS), advanced GPS tracking systems, Route Optimization tools, and ERP systems.

Leverage data analytics to track delivery timelines, driver behavior, and real-time fleet diagnostics.
