Education:
    • Bachelor/Honors
    • Masters
  • Bachelor/ Master’s in Industrial Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Business Administration or equivalent discipline.

  • MBA in Operations Management will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities & Context:

The Factory Head will be responsible for the overall management, supervision, and strategic operation of the factory. The role requires ensuring smooth production activities, maintaining product quality, optimizing manpower and resources, and ensuring full compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety standards.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the entire factory operations including production, quality, maintenance and dispatch.

  • Ensure production targets are achieved within timeline, cost and quality standards.

  • Implement lean manufacturing, process improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.

  • Monitor daily production activities and resolve any operational bottlenecks immediately.

  • Maintain coordination between Head Office and Factory teams to ensure smooth communication.

 

People Management & HR Coordination:

  • Supervise and guide all department heads under the factory.

  • Ensure discipline, attendance, and compliance with factory rules and labor laws.

  • Conduct regular meetings with key team members to review progress and address issues.

  • Support HR & Admin team in manpower planning, recruitment and employee relations.

  • Promote teamwork, safety awareness, and continuous improvement culture among employees.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards at every stage of production.

  • Maintain compliance with factory act, labor law, fire safety and environmental regulations.

  • Coordinate with audit teams and take corrective actions on non-compliance issues.

  • Oversee factory certifications, license renewals and compliance documentation.

Maintenance & Resource Management:

  • Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of machinery, equipment and utilities.

  • Plan preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdown and downtime.

  • Control factory expenses, wastage and monitor budgetary targets.

Reporting & Strategy:

  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to higher management.

  • Participate in strategic planning and provide inputs for process optimization.

  • Implement management decisions and ensure alignment with company objectives.
