Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design, plan, and implement extracurricular programs that promote students' social, emotional, and physical development.
∎ Develop a diverse range of activities, including sports, music, arts, drama, debate, and clubs that cater to students’ interests and talents.
∎ Collaborate with faculty and administration to align activities with the school’s mission and curriculum.
∎ Organize school events, such as annual sports day, cultural festivals, talent shows, and inter-school competitions.
∎ Oversee logistics for events, including venue arrangements, budgeting, scheduling, equipment, and participant registration.
∎ Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and sponsors to ensure successful event execution.
∎ Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities and provide mentorship to develop leadership skills.
∎ Identify and nurture students’ talents, offering guidance to help them excel in their chosen activities.
∎ Form and supervise student committees or clubs, fostering responsibility and teamwork.
∎ Communicate with teachers, parents, and the administrative team about upcoming events and activities.
∎ Provide updates to parents on student involvement, achievements, and overall performance in extracurricular activities.
∎ Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate extracurricular activities into the school calendar seamlessly.
∎ Prepare and manage the annual budget for extracurricular activities and events.
∎ Ensure efficient use of resources and monitor expenditures, staying within allocated budgets.
∎ Maintain an inventory of equipment and materials required for various activities.
∎ Ensure a safe environment for all extracurricular activities and events, following school policies and guidelines.
∎ Implement disciplinary measures when necessary and uphold a positive, respectful atmosphere among students.
∎ Provide necessary first aid and ensure emergency protocols are in place during activities and events.
∎ Promote extracurricular programs and achievements through newsletters, social media, and the school website.
∎ Recognize and celebrate student achievements in extracurricular activities through awards, certificates, and school assemblies.
∎ Coordinate with local media to gain coverage for major school events or outstanding student performances.
∎ Stay informed about new trends in extracurricular programs and explore innovative ideas to enhance student engagement.
∎ Attend relevant workshops, conferences, or training sessions to improve program quality.
∎ Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments based on feedback from students, parents, and staff.
