Experience:
Master’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 12 years of banking/financial services experience with at least 5 years in card business leadership.
Strong track record in credit card, debit card, and digital payments management.
Deep knowledge of Bangladesh Bank regulations, card operations, risk management, and recovery frameworks.
Proven ability to launch and scale innovative card products and campaigns.
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and leadership qualities.
Strong relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
Customer-centric mindset with a focus on digital innovation.
The Head of Cards will be responsible for leading the Bank’s end-to-end card business, covering both Issuing and Acquiring operations. This includes strategy, product innovation, portfolio growth, risk management, and partnerships across domestic and international payment schemes/networks (TakaPay, NPSB, Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, etc.). The role requires strong commercial leadership to drive profitability, enhance customer experience, and establish the Bank as a frontrunner in Bangladesh’s rapidly evolving payments industry.
Lead the Cards Division with strategic direction, ensuring strong growth in acquisition, usage, and profitability.
Develop and execute card business strategies aligned with the bank’s overall retail and digital banking goals.
Oversee product development, portfolio management, and lifecycle planning for all card products.
Drive partnerships with payment networks (VISA, MasterCard, Taka Pay, etc.), fintechs, and merchant partners.
Ensure regulatory compliance with Bangladesh Bank and international standards.
Lead initiatives in digital payments, contactless, QR-based transactions, and co-brand partnerships.
Monitor and optimize risk management, credit policy, and recovery strategies.
Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team.
