Job Context:
∎ Solaris Limited is looking for Head of Business Development.
∎ Our growing company is in need of an experienced and resourceful business development executive to develop and implement growth opportunities in existing and new markets. We`re searching for a professional who has solid track record of b2b sales & can create long-term value for our company. The ideal candidate should understand how to leverage market & trends in renewable energy sector, preferably solar, and capitalize on business trends and opportunities as Bangladesh diversifies its power generation energy mix. Candidates should have strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage a diverse team in an evolving industry landscape. Successful candidate should also be willing to travel.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with management to develop & implement business development strategy/target;
∎ Work with management to develop & implement capital and operating budget as approved by the board;
∎ Build & retain contacts with existing & potential clients to create new business opportunities;
∎ Conduct market competitive analysis to develop sales strategy to secure new business;
∎ Develop advertising and promotional programs, telemarketing plans and tradeshows, and participate in client visits and external events;
∎ Write bids/proposals/brochures, prepare/deliver pitches to potential clients and provide accurate & timely information to clients regarding products, pricing, quotes, concerns etc.;
∎ Guide, train and motivate sales team to meet or exceed the sales performance targets;
∎ Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project life cycle through working in close coordination with other internal/external teams;
∎ Periodically update management/board about business prospect & performance against target;
∎ Update and seek informed consent of the board in matters of strategic importance to the company having financial/reputational impacts.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 8-10 years of relevant work experience in b2b sales, marketing or senior management role. (Experience in solar energy sector will be preferred).
∎ High-level communication skills
∎ Stakeholder management skills
∎ Proven ability to negotiate
∎ Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
∎ Conflict resolution
∎ Ability to self-motivate and motivate a team
∎ Experience working to and exceeding targets
∎ Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly
∎ Based in Dhaka (travelling will be required)
