Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Two (02) Years Fixed Term Contract
∎ Job Purpose: The Government Liaison Specialist is responsible for liaison and networking with government, donors, NGO/INGOs and international agencies and ensuring Concern`s work is in compliance with the regulations of the Government of Bangladesh, in particular related to different ministries, the NGO Affairs Bureau, National Board of Revenue, VISA offices, immigration, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare FD-6 or FD-7, FD-2, FD-3, FD-4, FD-1, FD-8 and FD-9 and other project formalities with the NGO Affairs Bureau in Bangla/English as when required and regularly follow up with them to obtain the GOB approval for the project and/or extension projects. Follow up on the outstanding project(s) approval issues with the appropriate NGO Affairs Bureau desk officers.
∎ Coordinate, collate all the information to ensuring the work-permit, N' visa and other visa whom works in Concern Worldwide, Bangladesh and submission to the NGO Affairs Bureau.
∎ Maintain linkages and strong relationship with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Foreign affairs to support organizational needs, i.e. Visa related issues, security clearance and compliance for expatriate.
∎ Ensure the compliance and requirement of NGOAB in line with financial management, financial reporting and program reporting, auditing and risk management of the project and organization
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Emergency Director or the line manager.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years progressively responsible work experience in a Liaison and/or Administrative function with Government and external liaison in particular the NGO Affairs Bureau, national Board of revenue. Working within government system will be an added advantage.
∎ Good knowledge of legal requirements of Government for operation of International agencies and understanding of development within Bangladesh.
∎ Knowledge of typing in Bangla
∎ Excellent presentation skill in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
∎ Excellent coordination and process facilitation skill
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skill both in Bangla and English, ability to meet tight deadlines
∎ Ability to interpret policy issues in assessing the implications

Salary:
∎ Tk. 976068 - 1024860 (Yearly)
∎ The gross annual salary range will be from BDT 976,068/- to BDT 1,024,860 /-
