Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
Additional professional qualifications in Quality Management will be an advantage.
Strong experience in garment washing, wet processing, finishing, and quality management is essential.
Experience in a senior QA/quality management position in a reputed garment washing plant or export-oriented apparel manufacturing organization will be preferred.
Candidates with strong experience in handling international buyers and quality standards will be given preference.
Strong knowledge of garment washing processes, wash development, quality parameters, and defect analysis.
Strong understanding of buyer quality requirements and international apparel quality standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage and develop a quality team and work effectively with cross-functional departments.
Strong decision-making capability and ability to work under pressure.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Lead and oversee the overall Quality Assurance function of the washing plant to ensure consistent quality standards across all washing and finishing processes.
Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance systems, procedures, and standards in line with buyer requirements and company policies.
Ensure washing processes, including various wash effects, dyeing, finishing, and special treatments, meet approved standards and specifications.
Review and approve wash standards, laboratory submissions, bulk wash parameters, and production quality requirements.
Monitor quality performance throughout the washing process and ensure timely identification and resolution of quality issues.
Coordinate closely with Production, Merchandising, Technical, Laboratory, and other relevant departments to maintain product quality and delivery requirements.
Analyze quality reports, inspection findings, rejection rates, rework, and customer complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure effective implementation of quality checkpoints and inspection systems at different stages of the washing process.
Guide the QA team in conducting process audits, inline inspections, final inspections, and quality assessments.
Establish and monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement in washing quality, efficiency, and process consistency.
Ensure compliance with approved buyer standards, technical specifications, color/shade requirements, measurement tolerances, and workmanship standards.
Support the development and implementation of SOPs, quality manuals, checklists, and process control systems for the washing plant.
Participate in buyer inspections, technical meetings, quality reviews, and factory audits as required.
Ensure proper investigation and resolution of buyer complaints, quality claims, and production-related quality concerns.
Provide technical guidance and training to QA personnel to strengthen quality awareness and technical competency.
Maintain effective documentation and reporting systems for quality performance, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with applicable customer requirements, industry standards, and company quality policies.
Drive a culture of quality, accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across the washing plant.
