Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The General Manager (RDRS Enterprise) is appointed to his/her position by the Executive Director and is responsible to the Executive Director or his/ her delegated authority for professional tasks and the execution of his/ her duties which includes sound leadership in all aspects of all business (Production and Marketing of all enterprises) of RDRS.
∎
∎ Lead RDRS Enterprise operations along with the senior leadership team;
∎ Develop annual sales of the business plan and marketing strategy;
∎ Oversee activities directly related to production, sales & marketing, Accounts, and SCM;
∎ Team building, risk management, scaling up the agri inputs business & relationship management with institutional sellers and farmers/buyers;
∎ Manage relationships with a range of institutions and processors, along with an understanding of their businesses and requirements;
∎ Owning working with community institutions and farmer collectives, local aggregators;
∎ Overall P&L responsibility of GTM, Trade Marketing and Channel Strategies for the agri inputs business;
∎ Provide monthly/quarterly/yearly P&L statement to the management;
∎ Providing the technical know how to build the business using agri and digital technology, emerging and innovative agribusiness models, including Agtechs and MS MEs to build a strong model;
∎ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing production/marketing team, providing guidance, feedback, and training as needed;
∎ Maintain brand consistency and integrity across all marketing communications and materials, ensuring alignment with RDRS values and objectives;
∎ Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices;
∎ Use stakeholders' feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology;
∎ Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits;
∎ Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company's legality and business ethics;
∎ Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements;
∎ Build trustworthy relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders;
∎ Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth;
∎ Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company;
∎ Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings;
∎ Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives;
∎ Research different organizations and individuals to find new opportunities;
∎ Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones;
∎ Find and develop new markets and improving sales;
∎ Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures;
∎ Monitor KPIs and budgets to assess performance;
∎ Determine staffing for the program;
∎ Training personnel and helping team members to develop their skills;
∎ Carry out any other duties assigned by the Management.
