Job Context

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and result-oriented General Manager – Production to lead the production operations of our garments manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have a strong Industrial Engineering (IE) background, with proven expertise in production planning, capacity optimization, productivity improvement, line balancing, efficiency enhancement and overall factory operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall production operations to achieve daily, monthly and annual production targets.

• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials and production capacity.

• Develop and implement production plans in line with shipment schedules and business requirements.

• Monitor production efficiency, line performance, productivity, DHU, absenteeism, overtime and other key production KPIs.

• Apply Industrial Engineering techniques for line balancing, capacity planning, SMV analysis, manpower optimization and productivity improvement.

• Identify bottlenecks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to improve production flow.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, waste reduction and process optimization.

• Ensure effective coordination among Production, IE, PPC, Quality, Maintenance, HR and other relevant departments.

• Review production reports and analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Establish and monitor production standards, targets and performance benchmarks.

• Ensure adherence to approved production methods, quality standards and buyer requirements.

• Minimize production losses, rework, downtime and operational wastage.

• Develop and implement strategies for improving line efficiency and overall factory productivity.

• Lead and mentor production managers, line supervisors and other production personnel.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety standards and applicable labor requirements.

• Prepare regular management reports regarding production performance, capacity, efficiency and operational challenges.

• Participate in strategic planning for capacity expansion, manpower planning, machinery requirements and production improvement.

• Take necessary initiatives to achieve on-time delivery while maintaining required quality and productivity standards.
