Roy Agro Food Products Limited is seeking an experienced and result-driven General Manager – Business Operations to work closely with the Board of Directors in shaping and executing the company's operational and business growth strategy. The primary focus of this role is to introduce new policies and strategic plans to expand the business further, build a solid and talented team from the ground up, and oversee and streamline the company's current operations for greater efficiency and long-term sustainability. This is a senior leadership position central to the company's next phase of growth, including its manufacturing expansion and entry into the FMCG retail market.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely and collaboratively with the Board of Directors to define, refine, and execute the company's overall business strategy and expansion plans.
Introduce and implement new policies, systems, and operational frameworks to support the company's continued growth and long-term scalability.
Oversee all current business operations, including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution, identifying inefficiencies and driving improvements across the board.
Develop a strong working understanding of key functional departments such as Accounts, Finance, and HR, and work closely with department heads to identify gaps, strategize improvements, and implement necessary changes to refine departmental processes.
Lead the effort to build a strong, capable, and talented team, including recruiting, structuring departments, and developing leadership within the organization.
Support the planning and rollout of new manufacturing plants as part of the company's capacity expansion strategy.
Coordinate with the import/export function to ensure efficient sourcing and timely fulfilment of institutional and market demand.
Play a key operational role in the company's transition into the FMCG and retail sector, including readiness planning for the new brand launch.
Manage budgets, resource allocation, and cost controls to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
Establish clear performance metrics, reporting structures, and accountability across departments.
Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations, licensing, and industry standards.
Regularly present operational updates, strategic recommendations, and growth plans to the Board of Directors.
Identify potential risks to the business and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
