Responsibilities & Context:

• Develop and implement logistics and distribution strategies that align with the company’s goals and customer needs.

• Forecast product demand and plan distribution schedules for on-time deliveries.

• Analyze and optimize distribution networks, reducing costs while improving delivery efficiency.

• Manage all aspects of transportation, including fleet management, outsourcing logistics, and third-party provider contracts.

• Coordinate transportation routes, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries to customers, distributors, and retail locations.

• Negotiate contracts with transportation service providers, ensuring cost-effective solutions and service quality.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics and distribution team to achieve operational excellence.

• Conduct training and provide performance evaluations to improve team skills and productivity.

• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and logistics best practices.

• Foster strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers to ensure high levels of service.

• Address and resolve customer complaints regarding delivery, service quality, and logistics issues.

• Prepare and manage the logistics and distribution budget, focusing on cost control and optimization.

• Analyze distribution costs and implement cost-reduction measures without compromising service quality.

• Report logistics performance, including delivery times, costs, and customer satisfaction, to senior management.

• Utilize logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and GPS tracking tools to streamline operations.

• Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes through automation, better planning, and process optimization.

• Introduce new technologies and tools to enhance distribution efficiency and reduce operational costs.
