About the role

The Assistant / Deputy Manager, Transport & Distribution will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of distribution and logistics operations to ensure timely product delivery, cost efficiency, and high customer service standards. The role will coordinate with internal teams, transport providers, distributors, and customers to maintain smooth distribution operations and achieve business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing distribution schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to distributors, dealers, and customers.

  • Monitor daily distribution activities, track product movement, and resolve operational issues to ensure uninterrupted product flow and adherence to delivery commitments.

  • Coordinate with sales, production, warehouse, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient order fulfillment and smooth distribution operations.

  • Manage transportation arrangements, vehicle utilization, route planning, and logistics resources to maximize delivery efficiency and optimize costs.

  • Liaise with transport vendors, third-party logistics providers, distributors, and customers to ensure service quality and timely deliveries.

  • Address distribution-related complaints and coordinate corrective actions to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor logistics and transportation costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support budget optimization initiatives.

  • Analyze distribution performance data, prepare periodic reports, and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

  • Supervise distribution coordinators, drivers, and support staff, ensuring productivity, accountability, and adherence to operational standards.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, safety requirements, and maintain proper documentation for audits and operational reviews.
