∎ Location: Rohingya Refugee Program, Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh
∎ The DCA Bangladesh invites applications from qualified and competent Bangladeshi candidates for the position of Gender Based Violence (GBV) Coordinator for Rohingya Response Programme.
∎ Overall purposes of the role:
∎ The Gender Based Violence (GBV) Coordinator will be over seeing the activities and staff in the SSWG and the mobile teams. He/She will be providing direct technical support to the teams in the field with the support from the Emergency GBV Manager in addition to the day to day management of the SSWG team leaders and technical supervision to the program officers.
∎ The GBV Coordinator will be also supporting in setting staffing plans, procurement and spending plans, coordinate closely with the program support teams to ensure that all the needs fulfilled.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Technical Project Management:
∎ Lead assessments to identify protection risks, map points of service for survivors of GBV and vulnerable individuals and identify points of entry and support structures for reinforcement.
∎ Analyze trends of GBV and develop/adjust program strategies to meet needs.
∎ Support the expatriate manager in designing program concept notes and proposals.
∎ Build capacity of team and other service providers to offer appropriate services and support to GBV survivors;
∎ Develop and strengthen GBV referral systems;
∎ Develop protocols for information collection and sharing;
∎ Train other program staff to integrate guiding principles and risk mitigation into various sector interventions.
∎ Coordinate with community leaders and women's associations to strengthen support and information networks;
∎ Compile regular program reports and data;
∎ Assist in the development of the strategy for the GBV response to the Rohingya crisis.
∎ Provide assistance on GBV prevention and response programming, supporting and empowering partners and DCA staff to create, effective and comprehensive programming
∎ Provide technical support to ensure program quality, inclusive of regular technical monitoring of case management and PSS services under the program.
∎ Ensure GBV is mainstreamed in the other sector activities through regular meeting with the officers and provision of GBV technical guidance.
∎ Project management through follow-up of proposal and budget: identification of needs, assessment, leading procurement request and design of monitoring and activities tools.
∎ Support team members and key actors to adopt internationally recognized best practices, proven tools, methodologies on GBV, working collaboratively to ensure their relevance for the context and successful implementation
∎ Ensure field concerns and challenges are brought to relevant stakeholders to push for standards and procedures that systematize how GBV is implemented and coordinated at the camps level.
∎ Contribute to reports, sitrep and to the preparation of new proposals.
∎ Assist in proposal development activities (narrative and budget) through planning and program design with relevant field-based staff
∎ Design and facilitate relevant training for staff and others.
∎ Report project progress and monitor project activities:
∎ Follow-up the implementation of GBV activities and ensure the quality through regular monitoring and technical support, data collection and management
∎ Provide technical support to ensure program quality, inclusive of regular technical monitoring of case management and PSS services under the program
∎ Build capacity of DCA staff and relevant stakeholders to ensure a reliable M&E system for better GBV data management, and ethical GBV data collection and information management
∎ Prepare case study, concept notes, and progress reports.
∎ Coordination, collaboration, Networking

∎ Carry out and update a mapping of all actors responding to GBV and develop a strong network
∎ Coordinate the community mobilization activities in close collaboration with partners, GBV actors as well as other stakeholders
∎ Participate to the GBV sub sectors meetings and actively contribute to coordination efforts
∎ Establish and maintain close link with logistics and finance officers. Coordinate Procurement - Logistics Officer and supervisor and ensure that program related procurement has been carried out smoothly.
∎ Represent DCA if and when needed in relevant cluster and coordination meetings.
∎ Staff Supervision and Capacity building:
∎ Provide regular supervision, mentoring, guidance and required training to staff.
∎ Provide technical support to Frontline staff (Prevention Officer, Response Officer and Other officers and workers.
∎ Ensure that all GBV staff understands code of conducts also ensure policy compliances.
∎ Develop and conduct / facilitate trainings DCA staff and others on relevant GBV topics such as GBV Core concepts, case management.
∎ Other duties as requested by the supervisor to enable and develop DCA programs.
∎ Accountability and Core Humanitarian Standard
∎ Work to strengthen complaint - feedback mechanism. Ensure all operational complaints has been addressed timely and effectively.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Understanding of emergency response and Five years of relevant professional experience, including experience in gender, GBV, Women's Empowerment or protection programming;
∎ Strong management experience and ability to work well with a team;
∎ Proven experience in developing and delivering training and of group facilitation;
∎ Demonstrated sensitivity to protection issues, including application of the principle of confidentiality;
∎ Ability to exercise sound judgment;
∎ Extremely strong communication skills, with good understanding of relevant cross-cultural and sensitive issues;
∎ Excellent qualitative and quantitative reporting skills;
∎ Strong problem-solving and innovation to address gaps and challenges;
∎ Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to produce timely and high quality of work;
∎ Demonstrated high level of flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability;
∎ Ability to work under pressure and strong time management skills to meet both short-term and long-term objectives;
∎ Strict adherence to humanitarian and Protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including Code of Conduct and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA);
∎ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
∎ Fluency in both Bangla and English.
