Requirements

● Minimum 3+ years of experience in:

○ Garments sourcing

○ Merchandising

○ Buying house operations

○ Supply chain / vendor management

● Strong factory network in Bangladesh (MUST)

● Proven experience with both:

○ Stocklot / export surplus

○ Production garments

● Deep understanding of:

○ Fabric quality

○ Garment finishing

○ A-grade vs reject / defective products

● Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills

● Strong commercial mindset and deal-closing ability

● Willingness to travel frequently for field visits

Preferred Background (Highly Valued)

● Experience working with leading fashion / retail brands such as:

○ Artisan

○ Astorion

○ Similar established retail brands in Bangladesh

● Experience in:

○ Buying houses

○ Export-oriented factories

○ Fashion retail sourcing

● Strong understanding of fashion trends and market demand

Job Context

Connected Limited is looking for a hardworking and field-focused Garments Sourcing Manager to lead our sourcing and supplier network operations.

This role requires regular visits to factories, suppliers, and buying houses in major industrial areas such as Gazipur, Narayanganj, Savar, and nearby locations.

We need someone who can find good sourcing deals, build strong relationships with factories, and bring real business growth, rather than only managing existing suppliers.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in stocklot / export surplus garments as well as fresh production sourcing for retail and fashion categories.

Key Responsibilities

● Source export items, overrun, stocklot, and branded garments

● Source fresh production clothing directly from suppliers and factories

● Conduct regular field visits to factories in:

○ Gazipur

○ Narayanganj

○ Savar

○ Other industrial areas

● Build and maintain strong relationships with:

○ Factory owners

○ Merchandisers

○ Buying houses

○ Production managers

○ Supplier networks

● Identify trending, retail-ready products for men’s and women’s categories

● Negotiate bulk deals at the best commercial price points

● Ensure consistent supply of both:

○ Stocklot deals / opportunity buys

○ Fresh production runs / stable supply

● Coordinate with the internal team for product selection and assortment planning

● Evaluate product quality, finishing, and commercial viability

● Develop a strong sourcing pipeline for continuous inventory flow

Identify new sourcing opportunities that align with market demand and retail trends
