∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Minimum 02 years proven professional experience in food security & livelihoods related projects. Technical background on food security, cash grants, IGA and agriculture technology will be preferable. Experience in self-help group, multiple livelihoods strategies, homestead based food production, climate change adaptation, resilient livelihoods, info hub etc. will be an asset. Experience in data collection, surveys and assessments and agricultural technology promotion will be an advantage. Familiar with PRA tools & techniques.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Contract Duration: 31 December, 2024
∎ Start Date: ASAP
∎ Implementation and monitoring of the Food Security and Livelihoods component of the Project in Cox’s Bazar District and provide technical support to the Community Mobilizers (CMs) and beneficiaries for smooth and timely implementation of the project activities. Assist PM in drafting project progress reports.
∎ Implementation of FSL and DRR activities including homestead-based food production and Enhanced climate-adaptive livelihood opportunities.
∎ Ensure timely and efficient implementation of program activities under the guidance of the SPO and according to the Detailed Implementation Plan and work-plan.
∎ Facilitate beneficiaries & Model Mother selection process.
∎ Establish demonstration of model gardens.
∎ Conduct household asset analysis.
∎ Assist SPO/PM in establishment of a beneficiary’s database system with analysis.
∎ Assist SPO/PM for distributing livelihood cash grant at beneficiaries level.
∎ Establish Self Help Group (SHG) at community Level.
∎ Establishment of functional linkages with public and private sector service providers.
∎ Connecting the beneficiaries with local info-hubs or Union Digital Centres (UDC) for accessing the livelihood related information.
∎ Project staff and beneficiary capacity building.
∎ Support SPO for training needs assessment of the project beneficiaries.
∎ Assist SPO to arrange model mothers and livelihoods beneficiary training.
∎ Plan and arrange necessary tools for beneficiary training.
∎ Provide training and technical assistance to CM and beneficiary on climate adaptive and diversified livelihood – household asset analysis, IGA selection, business plan development, bookkeeping and accountancy etc.
∎ Provide awareness raising sessions on nutrition education, food safety and hygiene practices.
∎ Project activities monitoring, survey, reporting and documentation.
∎ Support for internal and external coordination and networking.
∎ Liaison with government service providers and facilitate the partnership with the local partner at union and Upazila level.
