We're a B2B AI development studio. Clients come to us with software and AI problems — chatbots, intelligent platforms, custom web apps — and we scope, design, build, and deliver. Our backend and AI layer is handled internally, so you'll always have clean APIs to work with. What we need from you is a frontend that looks and feels like a premium product every single time.

**The Role**

This is a hybrid frontend + design role. You won't just be handed Figma files to implement — you'll be the one creating them. You design the interface, build the component system, and ship it in React. One project might be an AI chat interface for a real estate platform, the next a dashboard for a student admissions portal. You need range, speed, and an eye for quality.

The backend engineer (the founder) will hand you documented REST APIs. Your job is everything the user sees and touches.

**What You'll Own**

- UI/UX design in Figma for each client project — flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity screens

- A reusable component library that speeds up delivery across projects

- React/Next.js frontend implementation of your own designs

- AI-specific interface patterns — chat UIs, preference input flows, recommendation result screens

- Responsive web layouts that work cleanly across devices

- Consuming REST APIs from our Django backend

**Tech Stack**

- React.js, Next.js

- Figma (design and handoff)

- Tailwind CSS or equivalent utility-first CSS

- REST API integration

- AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, v0) — expected as part of your daily workflow

**Requirements**

- 2+ years of experience building production React/Next.js frontends

- Strong UI/UX design skills with a portfolio showing both your design work and the shipped product

- Proficiency in Figma — components, variants, auto-layout

- Good eye for typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy without needing a separate designer

- Experience consuming REST APIs and handling async data in React

- Fluent with AI coding tools — this is how we stay fast on fixed-fee projects

- Able to work independently and make design decisions without constant direction

**Nice to Have**

- Prior experience at an agency or studio working across multiple client types

- Familiarity with AI-powered interface patterns (chat, search, recommendations)

- Experience with animation libraries (Framer Motion)
