• Work at office with frequent field visit in different union/village level
• Minimum 3 years` experience in fish production, technology transfer and marketingHave willingness to work at field level with farmers
• Ability to provide technical support for modern technology related to fish culture
• Ability to communicate with relevant stakeholders i.e. line department of Fisheries
• Sound background in MS Office and internet browsing
• Sound knowledge and skill on using different communication media
• Sound networking ability
• Hard working and self-motivated
• Motor Cycle driving skill with valid driving license.

Job Context: WAVE Foundation is a civil society organization established in 1990, has been implementing multifaceted activities for the socio economic development of the poor and marginalized as well as the establishment of universal human rights and good governance. Besides, these organization is conducting issue based policy advocacy and campaigns. WAVE is driven by its motto `Together for Better Life’ towards the vision of establishing ‘A just and Prosperous society’. WAVE has organized its activities into 6 programs: 1) Poverty Eradication and Livelihood Development 2) Community Financing and Entrepreneurship Development 3) Agri-Food System Transformation 4) Governance, Rights and Justice 5) Social Development and Youth Empowerment and 6) Climate Justice and Renewable Energy Promotion. The organization invites application from potential candidates for the position of ‘Fisheries Officer’ under Agri-Food System Transformation Program. It is a Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) supported activities for ‘Safe Crop Production, Preservation, Processing and Marketing’ under Integrated Agricultural Unit.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop plan of the project interventions and implementation accordingly in time with ensuring quality;
• Provide technical support for fisheries related technology transfer for increasing production;
• Contact and coordination with different fisheries related Service Delivery Institutions-SDIs; Department of Fisheries, project stakeholders and the targeted farmers and entrepreneurs;
• Organize field day, method and result demonstration on fish production and marketing;
• Organize and facilitate training, workshop, learning sharing visit;§ Assist in establishing market linkage for input and output supply;
• Identify learning, best practices and carry out necessary documentation;§ Ensure adequate guidance for Assistant Fisheries Officer; and coach & mentor to improve required skills;
• Compiling and developing report both in qualitative & quantitative aspects and submit to PKSF and WAVE Foundation.
