Responsibilities & Context:

• Ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations, factory safety standards, and buyer compliance requirements.

• Conduct regular inspections of fire detection, alarm, and firefighting systems.

• Monitor the operational readiness of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, and emergency lighting systems.

• Identify fire hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response and evacuation procedures.

• Organize and conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises regularly.

• Coordinate emergency response activities during fire or other emergencies.

• Ensure evacuation routes, assembly points, and emergency exits remain unobstructed at all times.

• Provide regular fire safety training and awareness sessions for workers and staff.

• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), Fire Service & Civil Defence requirements, and buyer Codes of Conduct.

• Support internal, external, buyer, and regulatory safety audits.

• Maintain all fire safety records, certificates, inspection reports, and drill documentation.

• Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.

• Monitor implementation of preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

• Maintain fire safety logs, inspection reports, training records, and equipment maintenance records.
