Job Context:
∎ Concern Worldwide, Bangladesh is implementing a project titled "Improving Health and Nutrition Status of Urban Extreme Poor in Bangladesh through Sustainable Health Service Provision" (funded by European Union) under the Integrated Urban Programme.
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract up to 31 March 2020
∎ Duty Station: Head Office, Dhaka
∎ Job Purpose: S/he will be responsible for adaptation and/or development of innovative financial support schemes and prepayment schemes for the extreme poor to enable them to access health care services in the urban areas. The successful candidate will work with financial institutions, City Corporations/ Municipalities, ministries, health Service delivery NGOs to explore options and guide the project team for implementation of planned activities

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish a voucher system to provide financial support to urban extreme poor households to access health services.
∎ Pilot innovative micro health insurance scheme for urban extreme poor families to facilitate access to health services.
∎ Initiate and develop a community support mechanism for urban extreme poor to access health service based on the learning from Concern's project and others.
∎ Pilot and develop successful example of public private partnership to ensure sustainability of urban health care services.
∎ Engage private sector to provide support urban extreme poor to access health services.
∎ Work with the project team to provide inputs into project planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation
∎ Support the project to capture best practices and learning and utilize those in the current project aiming for positive changes in the lives of beneficiaries.
∎ Contribute to the process of implementing quality programmes by ensure that the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) of accountability is conceptualized and effectively implemented throughout the organization.
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's HR policies, Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Programmes Director or the line manager.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of financial programme planning, Micro -Insurance Scheme management, implementation, monitoring and capacity building
∎ Technical knowledge on financial policy, Micro-Insurance and interventions
∎ Experience in working with partner NGOs and government institutions

Salary:
∎ Gross Annual Salary range (inclusive of Festival Bonus, Gratuity and Provident Fund): BDT 1,996,804/- to BDT 2,335,988/-
