Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in Accounting/Finance or related disciplines.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Initiate payments of monthly staff salary, extract vouchers, Initiate payments for day today operations including vendors, petty cash, event-meeting, workshop, seminar, consultancy etc. and prepare vouchers to inputs accounting software/BANANA on daily basis. Act as custodian of cheques and all kind of payments.
∎ Maintain standard financial operations, accounting, bookkeeping in accounting software and extract BANANA files on monthly basis for PD, Small Mandates, Provident Funds, Gratuity Funds and Benevolent Funds. Act as data entry/input accounting data/payment into BANANA.
∎ Deduct tax from staff salary, deduct Tax & VAT against vendors payments and deposit to Govt.exchequer. Extract monthly Tax & VAT Return for submission to tax authority. Issue and deposit advance tax on quarterly basis for Expat as per tax regulations. Act and ensure payment on time of staturoty requirements/compliances.
∎ Compile monthly PF contribution from all projects, issue PF and BF loan to staff member, compile GF transfer from projects on half yearly basis, prepare vouchers to inputs accounting software on daily basis. Issue payment of final settlement of out-going staff member on time. Act and ensure payment /transfer payment from projects into separate bank, PF,GF,BF operate under trustee and record them properly.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in development sector with substantial experience in dealing with partner NGOs and donor reporting.
∎ Specific experience in financial management in the context of working in development sector.
∎ Financial planning, Financial monitoring, capacity building skills, Analytical skill, Communication skill.
∎ Orientation on financial management software, Excel, Word and Standard IT skills.
∎ Social competence and team building, Interpersonal relationship.
Salary:
∎ We will offer 1 year contract with a very competitive salary (range BDT. 60,000/- to 80,000/-) based on the length of relevant experiences. The salary offer will includes Monthly Gross, Festival bonus, PF, Gratuity, Medical and Life Insurance.
