Communication and Language Proficiency: Must be strong in independent communication in English and using the internet and social media.
Working experience:
- At least 3-year experience in development field; preferably in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Gender, Life Skills program and Child Marriage Project related experience preferably with secondary schools and madrasas.
- Should have experience in community mobilization, communication, liaison and collaborating with the stakeholders, Health Service Providers of GOs and NGOs.
Responsibilities & Context: CWFD emerged from an emotional response to help women in need of reproductive health care counseling. The organization, originally named as “Concerned Women for Family Planning (CWFP), started its voluntary activities in 1974 to help the refugees coming to Dhaka city after the devastating famine of 1974. The organization was registered in 1975 with Directorate of Social welfare and formally launched its project activities in 1976 with only 5 female staff to cover an area of Dhaka city slum comprising around 50,000 people. - Expected Programme Outcome: Adolescent girls, including the most marginalized, in targeted districts fully enjoy their childhood free from the risk of marriage: they experience healthier, safer and empowered life transitions, including making choices about their education. livelihood, sexuality, relationships, marriages and sexual and reproductive health (including child bearing):
Programme background:
- Concerned Women for Family Development received funds from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to implement the Adolescents and Youth Programme. This programme aims to address gender-based violence (GBV) in Bangladesh by establishing linkages to adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender equity, and improving relationship-building skills. CWFD also implements a national humanitarian and life skills programme with funding support from UNFPA. As part of this, CWFD is working with UNFPA to implement the national Humanitarian Programme and Life Skill Education (LSE) Programme.
- UNFPA Bangladesh developed this project funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands to expand and strengthen “Shombhabona” (meaning potential), the UNFPA-led component of the Global Programme to End Child Marriage (GPECM). The project builds upon existing support from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the GPECM and aims to accelerate progress towards SDG target 5.3 in Bangladesh.
- Shombhabona will extend its evidence-based intervention to Jamalpur and Gaibandha, two districts with high child marriage rates. The project focus on accelerating the transformation of harmful gender and social norms that contribute to child marriage, utilizing the GPECM conceptual framework.

Job Location: Jamalpur District.
Job duration: Up to 31 December 2025 with possible extension
Job Responsibilities:
- This is a field-based position with extensive field visit
- Overall responsible to implement planned activities individually within the time frame in the assigned district
- Organize different types of workshops, training, meeting at district and upazila for the school/madrasah teachers with financial expenditure plan according the approved budget
- Maintain all kinds of expenditure record as per the organization’s financial and administrative policy
- Prepare different types of event reports; monthly, quarterly and yearly report
- Establish and maintain liaison/coordination with local administration at the district, Upazila and Union level.
- Maintain regular communication with District and Upazila Education Officer, Women and Children Affairs Officer, UNFPA, Health, Family Planning officers and service providers and local administration for smooth operation of the program activities.
- Keep liaison with the head of secondary level schools and madrasas
Line of responsibility: The Field Officer will directly be reportable to the Head of Adolescents and Youth Programme, CWFD.
