Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor degree in any discipline
∎ Skills Required: Computer literacy, Good in english
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate with the sub-district level, downstream partners of Access Bangladesh Foundation for identification of potential job seekers with disabilities, for delivering awareness raising activities at communities, for organising monthly and quarterly meetings with DPO members, for facilitating their capacity building initiatives.
∎ Communicate with government and private technical/vocational education/training providers for enrolment of persons with disabilities in their capacities and for ensuring their better stay there through necessary adjustments/modifications.
∎ Connect with private sector employers for upcoming job opportunities for persons with disabilities in their companies and for opening placements, apprenticeships, internships for a selected group of people before they are recruited formally as employee.
∎ Conduct advocacy with relevant government and non-government organizations at national and local levels for influencing their decision making and for raising voices for persons with disabilities to initiate disability inclusive interventions by public and private sectors.
∎ Cooperate with the Project Coordinator for providing logistic preparation for seminars, workshops and other events at the local levels, for collecting data from different stakeholders, for storing bills and vouchers for any project expenditure, for writing reports and for any other support requested.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Person with disability will be preferred.
∎ Highly motivated and committed to work with persons with disabilities for next two years.
∎ Any previous engagement and/or voluntary experience in community mobilisation will be a plus.
∎ Willingness to travel frequently in Dhaka, Gazipur and Narsingdi, even in challenging situation.
∎ Have experience in typing Bengali and English and can communicate through digital pathways.
∎ Honesty is more important than academic achievements and years of experience in exploiting
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Salary negotiable (based on salary history and necessary adjustments for disability) up to BDT 20,000 per month.
