Job Context:
∎ Job Location : Monpura Upazila under Bhola District
∎ Job Nature : Temporary (9 Months - April 2023 to December 2023)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify Knowledge, skill and supports needs for vulnerable HHs & cluster members on disaster resilient agriculture and livestock production and marketing.
∎ Design & plan capacity building related activities on disaster resilient agriculture, livestock and poultry rearing.
∎ Develop necessary training and capacity building materials on disaster resilient agriculture, livestock and poultry rearing.
∎ Provide ToT to Field staffs and facilitate capacity building training at HH and clusters level on homestead base disaster resilience vegetable cultivation, disaster resilience seasonal crops production, bio pesticides preparation & use, organic fertilizers preparation & use, livestock & poultry rearing and so on.
∎ Lead to farmers selection for demonstration plot establishment, establish demonstration plots and facilitate promotional activities to promote disaster resilient agriculture, livestock and poultry technologies and practices.
∎ Coordinate with Upazila Livestock Office and other relevant stakeholders and mobilize them to select vaccinator, trained them and assist them to conduct vaccination program at cluster level.
∎ Mobilize government officials from respective departments and perform joint visit in the field.
∎ Assist farmers in accessing to the government and other relevant stakeholders' extension services like access to quality seeds, fertilizers, vaccination, other input supports, advance trainings, safety net, technical advice and other available services.
∎ Support and facilitate the farmers in selling their products through newly established or existing market systems.
∎ Lead to develop & finalize quality seed procurement, distribution and sowing/planting at field.
∎ Visit field regularly and provide hands on technical support to demonstration farmers and other cluster members on homestead base disaster resilience vegetable cultivation, disaster resilience seasonal crops production, bio pesticides preparation & use, organic fertilizers preparation & use, livestock & poultry rearing and so on.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ 4-5 years of proven working experience in Diploma Degree and B.Sc. in Agriculture 1-2 years field experience, knowledge, skill, competencies in the similar job in any NGOs/INGOs.
∎ Experience in disaster resilient homestead gardening & field crop production, livestock management, food security, livelihoods, dairy production etc.
∎ Knowledge in computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
∎ Reporting & Case Study writing both English and Bengali.
∎ Demonstrated results in implementing and tracking field-based activities.
∎ Experience conducting beneficiary identification, verification, and registration.
∎ Knowledge of local context.
∎ Ability to work in a team and multi-cultural environment.
∎ Good time management skills with ability to work on multiple tasks.
∎ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Note: Besides these above qualifications, willingness to stay and work in an isolated Island in Bangladesh is the pre-condition of this position

Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)
