Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Work closely and engage the project participants actively to implement the project activities
∎ Provide necessary support to the Hygiene promoter to run at least two hygiene sessions daily basis
∎ Monitor & supervise the construction and repair of the relevant WASH activities in the assigned working area to ensure the functionality of the WASH facilities
∎ Distribute and follow up on the daily work plan of the Project Assistant, Hygiene Promoter, and laborers
∎ Work with the Project Assistant to find sites/locations for WASH facilities construction ensuring the categories of the project
∎ Keep all materials distribution documents, and master roll of all constructed WASH facilities
∎ Provide necessary reports of every WASH facility constructed, repaired & and maintained daily
∎ Maintain regular coordination with the CiC office, SMS (Site Management Support), and relevant stakeholders to enhance collaboration, minimize overlap, and ensure the effective implementation of the project
∎ Work together with the technical team to develop and implement maintenance plans for WASH infrastructure to ensure long-term sustainability
∎ Ensure the inclusion of the most vulnerable groups, including women, children, elderly, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities, in all aspects of the project's WASH services
∎ Monitor and evaluate the participation and impact of WASH interventions on vulnerable groups and gender-diverse individuals, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are effectively addressed
∎ Demonstrate leadership and accountability in upholding safeguarding principles and ensuring that all team members adhere to ethical standards and codes of conduct
∎ Serve as a primary source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding principles and practices for all team members, promoting a safe and secure working environment
∎ Encourage and support team members to report any safeguarding concerns or incidents they may encounter, emphasizing the importance of transparency, accountability, and the protection of individuals' rights
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ The position involves overseeing the implementation of field-based activities, which encompasses monitoring progress, collecting data, preparing daily reports, and ensuring the preservation of documentation. Additionally, responsibilities include utilizing GPS for data collection, providing support for hygiene activities, and supervising the construction and repair work of wash facilities. The role also entails undertaking any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor. Successful execution of these responsibilities demands a proactive approach to project implementation, strong organizational skills, and effective collaboration with team members in a field-based setting.
