∎ BSc in Civil Engineering from any recognised university.
∎ Master or equivalent degree in Environmental Engineering / Water Resources Engineering/Civil Engineering will get preference.

Requirements:

Additional Requirements:
∎ Good understanding of water contamination factors, water testing protocols (country context) and safety &security at work places during work execution
∎ Regular report to management/supervisor regarding work progress
∎ During construction ensure safety and security
∎ Responsible to lead, motivate and provide technical support to all field level project staffs
∎ Support in procurement process for the project related procurements
∎ Have efficiency and knowledge on field problems and necessary action to resolve them. Keep a daily Project log of all major activities
∎ Minimum 2 years’ of progressive working experience in Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) projects in urban contexts, preferably with NGO's, working with low income people in urban contexts. Working experience on WAB funded project will be given preference.
∎ Excellent computer operation skills including AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, MS word, power point, email and internet browsing.
∎ Creative sense on relevant constructive work in slums and institutions
∎ Good interpersonal skills, has demonstrated proactive roles in team work
∎ Ability to ride motorbike with having valid driving license.
∎ Able to cope with stress and work under difficult circumstances.
∎ Ability to adopt online reporting system
∎ Have to be gender sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The project engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete the project.
∎ The project engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements.
∎ Produce appropriate technical & engineering sketches and relevant engineering drawings/designs and present to the donor’s for approval
∎ Coordinate with the WaterAid focal person to finalize the technical drawing and design
∎ Responsible for providing technical supervision and guidance on the quality of work on WASH technological options at all stages of the project management cycles.
∎ Ensure water quality, environmental sanitation and its documentation.
∎ Experience in the design, estimation and construction of WASH infrastructure in urban areas.
∎ In consultation with the project manager, manage the budget of the WASH sections of the programs at field level.
∎ Monitor and ensure quality of construction materials
∎ Monitor and ensure quality of all hardware construction through extensive field visits in difficult project locations in regular basis
∎ Experience in developing and piloting of water technology/models for hard to reach areas including urban
∎ Have adequate knowledge in Rainwater harvesting system, Fecal sludge management , solid waste management and other technologies

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary Range: Monthly salary BDT 47000-45000 (gross) with two festival bonus and annual salary increment as per policy.
∎ Other Benefits: Other admissible benefits will be given as per organizational rules and regulations.
