Experience:

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience working in WASH, slum development, or urban poor communities will be an advantage.

Uttaran is a people-centered organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.

Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Field Facilitator for the "Building Resilient Futures: Comprehensive Climate Adaptation for Climate Migrants and Vulnerable Populations" Project

Reports To: Project Coordinator

Duration: Up to November’ 2026 

Job Responsibilities:

As the Field Facilitator er you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of project activities. Key responsibilities include:

Community Engagement and Planning

• Strongly engage with group formation and arrange regular basis awareness sessions.
• Mobilize and closely work with climate migrant and vulnerable households in assigned slums to support project interventions.
• Assist in thorough needs assessments and beneficiary consultations to identify field opportunities and challenges
• Support formation, strengthening, and regular functioning of community groups (e.g., slum committees, youth/women groups).
• Conduct regular household visits to identify needs, track progress, and provide basic guidance to beneficiaries.

Implementation and Coordination:

• Conducting day-to-day implementation of project activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Facilitate community meetings, group discussions, and awareness sessions on climate adaptation, livelihoods, WASH, health, and social services.
• Organize training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building activities to enhance beneficiaries’ skills and knowledge.
• Assist beneficiaries in accessing project-supported services, training, and livelihood opportunities.
• Support implementation of livelihood, WASH, shelter improvement, and climate-resilient activities at community level.
• Collect basic field data, maintain beneficiary records, and assist in monitoring and reporting activities.
• Coordinate with local government representatives, service providers, and relevant stakeholders at slum level.

Networking and Partnerships:

• Coordinate with local government representatives, service providers, and relevant stakeholders at slum level.
• Ensure inclusion of women, persons with disabilities, elderly, and other marginalized groups in project activities.
• Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Project Coordinator for effective project implementation.

Salary: 25,000/- BDT (Including all) Compensation & other benefits: As per Uttaran`s Policy and Project Design.
