∎ About the Role:
∎ Based in Ukhia or Teknaf under Cox`s Bazaar district, The Field Facilitator will be responsible for organising and facilitating the key activities at the field level under assigned project.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate the training, orientation and organize value chain tour for organic fertilizer wholesalers, retailers and institutional buyers for market promotion and business plan development.
∎ Organize and engage households regarding organic waste segregation and use of compost.
∎ Organize Community compost activity.
∎ Explore compost use for gardening/marketing compost.
∎ Facilitate marketing agreements, strengthen horizontal relations among dealers.
∎ Support the creation of collection hubs and assist marketing of organic compost.
∎ Conduct training and orientation for farmers and vertical gardeners group.
∎ Prepare demonstration plot on regular basis and participate in agricultural/horticultural fair for compost market promotion.
∎ Organize networking meeting with institutional buyers who are operating eco-agriculture businesses for compost market promotion.
∎ Provide critical inputs and opinions to the Project Lead in determining the selection of appropriate technology and work plan of the organization in that region.
∎ Will be responsible for field level data collection, data compilation and reporting
Additional Requirements:
∎ Track record on networking, market value chain development on compost along with wholesalers, retailers and institutional buyers.
∎ Track record on crop demonstration plot development, micro entrepreneurship development, compost market promotion, participated agricultural fair.
∎ Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to set priorities.
∎ Good English writing, analytical and communication skills.
∎ Good ability to work with a virtual cross-functional team.
∎ Willing and able to travel independently outside station.
Salary:
∎ Monthly consolidated BDT 35,000 - 45,000 including all other benefits and allowances.
