Experience:
Minimum Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Social Work, Education, or a relevant discipline.
A Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or Diploma may be considered for candidates with strong relevant field experience, particularly in community mobilization or disability-inclusive programming
At least 5 years of relevant field experience, preferably in NGO/INGO projects.
Experience working with persons with disabilities and community-based programs is highly desirable.
Experience in training facilitation, community mobilization and stakeholder coordination.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in rural and resource-constrained environments.
Good reporting and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Local language proficiency and knowledge of Manikganj area will be considered an advantage.
The Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID) is a national-level non-governmental organization (NGO) registered with the Department of Social Services under the Ministry of Social Welfare (Registration No. Dha-08858, dated 20 February 2011). It is also registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh under the Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Ordinance (Registration No. 1322, dated 15 December 1998). CSID operates in 248 upazilas across 35 districts of Bangladesh. The organization is dedicated to enhancing access to information, rights, and opportunities for disadvantaged groups, particularly persons with disabilities. Its major areas of work include disability and development research, community-based rehabilitation and support, inclusive education, livelihood promotion, and advocacy at both national and local levels. CSID invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the following position under a donor-supported project.
Job Summary
The Field Facilitator will be responsible for implementing project activities at the community level and working closely with persons with disabilities, local stakeholders, and project partners. The role requires regular coordination with the Program/Project Manager and MEAL team to ensure quality implementation, timely reporting, and achievement of project objectives. Strong community engagement skills, local knowledge, and a commitment to disability inclusion are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Field-Level Project Implementation
Facilitate community mobilization and beneficiary engagement in project activities.
Organize and support training sessions on TVET, Entrepreneurship, and Life Skills, awareness programs, and workshops as per project plan.
Support identification, enrollment, and follow-up of project participants, particularly persons with disabilities.
Coordinate with local stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective implementation of activities.
Establish and maintain linkages with employers, MFIs, and other relevant stakeholders.
Beneficiary Engagement and Support
Maintain regular communication with beneficiaries to understand their needs, progress, and feedback.
Provide guidance, motivation, and problem-solving support to participants.
Ensure inclusivity and accessibility in all project interventions.
Reporting and Documentation
Submit regular field progress reports to the Program/Project Manager.
Document success stories, lessons learned, and challenges from the field.
Support data collection, surveys, and assessments as required by the project and MEAL framework.
Community & Stakeholder Coordination
Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, Employers, community leaders, service providers, and partner organizations.
Represent CSID professionally and promote disability rights and inclusion at community level.
Compliance & Safeguarding
Ensure adherence to CSID policies, procedures, and donor compliance requirements.
Apply safeguarding principles in all interactions with beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Report safeguarding concerns promptly following organizational guidelines.
Working Conditions
Field-based position with frequent travel within the project area.
Flexibility to work outside regular office hours, including weekends, as per project needs.
Must be comfortable working in rural, remote, and resource-constrained environments.
