Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support and set up the monitoring plan/activity follow up plan according to logical framework for activity progress updates under the supervision of Hygiene Manager
∎ To provide technical support, propose suggestion and methodologies to the Monitoring Officer on the following issues-
∎ Baseline, end line, KAP survey, PDM, Rapid assessment, gender & inclusion analysis, any other relevant tools as well
∎ Monitoring and evaluation plan and tools for Hygiene Promotion activities
∎ Prepare, develop and adopt the various Information-Education-Communication (IEC) and Behavior Change Communication (BCC) materials
∎ Provide technical support to implement subject on CCC-PLTH at sub-block level of UNICEF partners considering the physical hygiene situation
∎ Plan and supervise the implementation of the HP activities, in accordance with the deadlines and technical supports that have been set
∎ Community mobilization ensuring “Accountability of WASH” in every stage of the project, satisfying the needs of the beneficiaries
∎ Ensure compliance with national & international WASH norms
∎ Provide technical support as well as on the job orientation to HP team on PRA tools & Techniques, if necessary
∎ Render follow-up and provide support to the WASH Officer-Hygiene and CVs for Community Mobilization and ignition process for CCC- PLTH
∎ Provide support to ensure the quality of CV trainings/refresher training as well as to conduct CCC-PLTH demo at field level as well as other relevant stakeholders capacity building activities
∎ Plan & organize NFIs/supply item distribution with the support of field team according to project plan
∎ Develop & maintain good relationships and lines of communication with other sections (Sanitation, Water), local/camp authorities and other stakeholders for smooth, efficient and effective implementation of the activities
∎ Attend HPTWiG meeting, Hygiene Promotion & gender focal meeting, PSEA focal meeting, RANAS & Learning through laughter and play - Clown Without Border & CFT coordination meeting as per sector & UNICEF schedule
∎ Implement RANAS methodology at field level for behavioural change promotion
∎ Develop & maintain positive & acceptable coordination & communication with the field team for smooth implementation of scheduled WASH activities with quality
∎ Sharing field findings with Hygiene Manager and other staff regularly
∎ Assist to prepare Hygiene Promotion quantitative, qualitative, event report, case study/success story as per UNICEF prescription maintaining the deadline and support to make sure documentation and reporting.
∎ Assist to prepare monthly quantitative and quality report if needed within the dead line
∎ Provide support to field team for any type of project related visit (Donor & VERC management)
∎ Preserve necessary photographs and documents of the project activities
∎ Willing to work in any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh.
∎ Any other tasks related to the program assigned by VERC authority
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ 30-45 years (Flexible for experienced person)
∎ The Field Coordinator-Hygiene will work in Ukhiya Upazila under Coxs Bazar district for implementation of Hygiene Promotion activities under the supervision of Hygiene Manager.
∎ S/he will supervise the Hygiene Promotion team
∎ S/he will have to ensure that all HP activities that are implemented are carried out well and to a high standard and to ensure that all of the activities are implemented in accordance to logical framework
∎ S/he will develop HP guidelines, approach, planning and strengthen the capacity of his/her team and relevant stakeholders for effective and time bound implementation.
∎ The Field Coordinator-Hygiene will also be responsible for any emergency assessment with the support of other team members and Monitoring Officer.
∎ Perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by VERC concerned authority at the interest of VERC
∎ With minimum 5 years work experience of which 3 years’ experience in similar works.
∎ University Degree in related field or sufficient working experience to substitute
∎ Familiarity with UN partnership
∎ Good reporting skill in English and verbal & written communication with the Donors and other agencies.
∎ Excellent skills using commonly used software MS Word, MS Excel, internet and email communication.
∎ Field level monitoring skill, to work in a team and able to work under any circumstance.
∎ To be open, transparent, accountable and positive in all professional perspectives.
∎ To be loyal to the VERCs guiding values and principles.
∎ Excellent communications skills.
∎ able to work well under stress and meet deadlines
∎ Able to work and solve problems independently
∎ Should have valid driving license and be willing to drive motorcycles.
∎ Must have quick decision making and problem solving capability.
