Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor Degree in social sciences, community development is essential or Nutrition and Health related degree is preferred
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate uptake and utilization of health and nutrition services but supporting lead mothers to identify and refer women and children to the available health services. Monitor, and support the utilization of the referral mechanism including ensuring follow up of non-attendees.
∎ Support community based behavior change activities lead by lead mothers through establishing community care/Lead mother groups, providing training , tools for use, reference materials and any other support as required by lead mothers
∎ Ensure that lead mothers have stationery, IEC materials and other inputs which they need in order to conduct their daily activities.
∎ Support the establishment of lead mother groups, organize and participate in lead mother monthly meetings. Document minutes of these minutes and follow up on action points
∎ Coordinate with Nutrition officer to find solutions to challenges in the referral pathway and to resolve and challenges that the lead mother may be facing in their daily activities.
∎ Conduct monitoring visits to lead mothers, including supervising their household level visits and sessions which they conduct. Collect monthly report from the lead mothers, analyze and consolidate reports and submission to supervisor.
∎ Conduct community awareness raising and mobilization meetings targeting the key persons such as religions leaders, opinion leaders, men and women groups amongst others.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ 2 years' experience in nutrition program with INGO/NGO/UN and related field experience in adolescent nutrition, Infant and Young Child Feeding promotion, Breast feeding counseling, Community Mobilization, cooking demonstrations.
∎ Strong capacity building and training skills
∎ Strong capacity for relations with state and local stakeholders
∎ Fluent in English (preferred)
∎ Good resource and time management skills
∎ Excellent organizational, leadership and motivation skills
∎ Experience in working with community volunteers
∎ Computer literate, especially MS Word and Excel
∎ Can understand, speak and write in both Bangla and English
∎ Ability to drive motocycle with driving licence will add value
Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)
