• Experience in Black Tiger/ Vannamei Shrimp hatchery management, Extensive/Semi extensive shrimp culture.

Job Context

Seamark is one of the biggest producers and exporters of frozen seafood in Bangladesh based in Chittagong. The company is looking for an experienced Farm Manager of Hatchery/Nursery/Aquaculture for its newly established Vannamei shrimp project at Unchiprang, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.

Workplace: Hatchery, Nursery and culture in Unchiprang, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the hatchery/nursery and culture area, ensuring all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor and maintain the health and welfare of Vannamei shrimp Nauplii and PL (Post Larvae), including nutrition, housing conditions and disease prevention.
• Manage the nursing process of Nauplii and PL and control all factors that affect the growth of PL at the time of aquaculture.
• Implement and enforce biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks and maintain a clean and safe environment for shrimps Nauplii, PL and aquaculture shrimp.
• Monitor temperature, dissolve oxygen, salinity, pH, alkalinity and other environmental factors to optimize hatchery and culture ground conditions.
• Staff training and development.
• Organize seminars.
• Arrange marketing with local farmers.
