Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology (Ophthalmology) from Government recognizes Institution.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide eye care treatment, refraction, and different investigation of eye diseases.
∎ Perform vision tests and analyze results and diagnose patient's sight problems
∎ Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
∎ Screening & identified the patient require for Eye Surgery.
∎ Provide pre-and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery during eye campaign at Kuakata clinic
∎ Prepare monthly requisition of medicine, consumable items, and stationery items, etc. in consultation with MO and submit to him.
∎ Maintain medicine and a general stock register
∎ Coordinate with GoB/NGO level as per consultation with MO.
∎ Keep a record, patient files during the Campaign.
∎ Supervise BCC mobilization, patient collection during the Campaign.
∎ The preparer of the monthly report, stock balance, expired date of medicine in consultation with MO and submit to the Head Office.
∎ Assist in the arrangement of referred patient transfers and doing all the necessary things for the patients.
∎ Protects patients by adhering to infection-control protocols.
∎ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
∎ Maintain the cleanliness of the Eye Unit regularly
∎ Perform other related duties assigned by clinic management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Previous experience in working in the char or islands areas and knowledge of local languages will be a definite advantage.
∎ Should have the capability of interpersonal communication skills.
