• Good knowledge of store hygiene, safety standards, and compliance with SOPs.

Job Context:

Fresh SuperMart, a retail chain shop of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), is expanding its footprint by launching new outlets at metro stations. The incumbent will support the Outlet In-Charge by ensuring efficient store operations, maintaining product quality, assisting customers, and executing day-to-day retail activities. The role requires attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support daily store operations to ensure smooth workflow by assisting in product display, cash handling, and customer service tasks.

• Perform product shelving and display arrangements to maintain proper store layout by following planograms and merchandising guidelines.

• Monitor product freshness and expiry dates to ensure food safety by checking items regularly and removing damaged or expired goods.

• Assist customers to enhance their shopping experience by providing accurate product information and guiding them to desired items.

• Replenish stock on shelves to avoid product shortages by checking inventory levels and coordinating with the storekeeper or In-Charge.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards to create an inviting store environment by following cleaning checklists and daily routines.

• Execute promotional activities to increase sales by placing promotional materials and informing customers about ongoing offers.

• Report stock discrepancies, product damages, or customer complaints to the Outlet In-Charge to ensure timely resolution by documenting and escalating issues.

• Follow store SOPs and company policies to ensure operational compliance by adhering to guidelines on safety, cash, and customer handling.

• Support loss prevention activities to reduce shrinkage by staying alert, monitoring product movements, and reporting suspicious activities.

• Coordinate with team members to improve service quality by sharing workload, communicating effectively, and maintaining teamwork.

• Update daily sales information and inventory records to ensure accurate reporting by entering data in the designated system or logbook.

• Ensure product price tags and labels are correct to avoid customer confusion by regularly checking and updating displays.

• Handle packaging and carry-bag management to ensure customer convenience by keeping packing materials organized and accessible.
