Responsibilities & Context:

Job Overview: The Executive, Legal Affairs is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and advisory services to Urmi Group. The incumbent will assist in managing legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and representing or coordinating the organization's interests across all legal matters.

Corporate & Commercial Legal Support

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MOUs, NDAs, and commercial documents to protect the Group's legal interests.

  • Provide legal opinions and advisory notes on a wide range of business transactions and corporate governance matters.

Litigation & Dispute Management

  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on pending cases, litigation strategy, and court appearances.

  • Maintain an up-to-date litigation register, monitor case timelines, and ensure prompt follow-up on all legal proceedings.

Regulatory Compliance & Liaison

  • Ensure timely submission of regulatory returns, licenses, renewals, and government filings.

  • Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external counsel on behalf of the organization

Documentation, Research & Administration

  • Maintain organized and secure records of all legal documents, contracts, court files, and correspondence.

  • Conduct legal research on statutory provisions, case law, and regulatory guidelines relevant to business activities.
