Job Summary:-
Executive Officer (IT & Software Development) will be responsible for planning, developing, maintaining, and securing the organization’s IT systems and software platforms. This role will oversee software development and customization, ERP/HMIS/Management Software maintenance, IT infrastructure operations, user support, data security, and vendor coordination. The position plays a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted digital operations across Quasem Foundation’s hospitals, vision centres, and offices.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Software Development & Management:-
Design, develop, customize, and maintain internal software systems (ERP, HMIS, MIS, HR, Finance, Inventory, Donation/Donor Modules, etc.), with a strong conceptual understanding of these systems and/or hands-on experience working with at least one programming language.
• Coordinate software implementation, upgrades and collaborate effectively with technical teams based on prior system knowledge .
Gather requirements from departments, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure proper documentation.
Ensure smooth rollout of new features/modules with user training and post-implementation support.
Monitor system performance and ensure scalability and reliability.
2. Software Maintenance & User Support:-
Provide day-to-day technical support for all deployed software systems.
Troubleshoot application-level issues and coordinate with developers/vendors for resolution.
Maintain user access control, roles, and permissions.
Ensure data integrity, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
3. IT Infrastructure & Network Management :-
Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, printers, scanners, POS devices, networking equipment, and peripherals.
Monitor and manage LAN, WAN, internet connectivity, and VPNs across multiple centres.
Perform system updates, patching, and preventive maintenance.
Manage backup systems and recovery procedures.
4. Cybersecurity & Compliance:-
Implement and monitor IT security policies to protect organizational data.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and relevant standards (data protection, access control, audit readiness).
Monitor system logs and take preventive action against security threats.
5. IT Administration & Documentation:-
Maintain updated inventory of IT assets (hardware, software licenses, accessories).
Prepare and maintain SOPs, system documentation, user manuals, and support logs.
Assist management with IT reports, system usage analytics, and improvement recommendations.
6. Project Coordination & Vendor Management:-
Support IT-related projects including new software deployment, digitization initiatives, and automation.
Coordinate with software vendors, internet service providers, and hardware suppliers.
Assist in IT procurement, evaluation, and vendor performance monitoring.
