Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operations:
∎ Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement, supply chain, and inventory management.
∎ Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
∎ Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
∎ Oversee import and export processes, including customs compliance and documentation.
∎ Shipping and Logistics:
∎ Manage the logistics and shipping team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
∎ Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers to optimize shipping routes and costs.
∎ Implement best practices in inventory control and warehouse management.
∎ Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
∎ Team Leadership:
∎ Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team in the commercial and shipping department.
∎ Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
∎ Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
∎ Budget and Cost Control:
∎ Develop and manage budgets for shipping operations.
∎ Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce operational expenses.
∎ Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to shipping activities.
∎ Compliance and Risk Management:
∎ Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and international trade agreements.
∎ Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
∎ Address any issues related to trade compliance and customs.
∎ Stakeholder Relations:
∎ Collaborate with internal departments, including production, sales, and finance, to align commercial and shipping activities with company goals.
∎ Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, partners, and industry organizations.
